Biography

The story began in the year 2000, when Michel Robiche (guitar), Didier Blanché (bass), and Eric Blanché (keyboards) started to make music together in a trip-hop band. When the band split in 2005, Michel and Didier started a new project : Cosmos70. The same year, they released a first EP on BEE Records. Several months later, Aurelien Pescher joined the band on visuals and artwork. Now, he also writes the lyrics and has joined the band on stage on keyboards and vocals.

Voices, their first album, was released in 2008 and became a french classic on electronica-pop. A Poet with Nothing to Say, the new album to be released on April 2011, is way much more than electro-pop-psyche-rock. Cosmos70 sound is the result of several multiple layers being merged into one composition. They mix electronic, analogue, and conventional instrumentation and blend distorted samples with live and recorded lyrics. By avoiding a pure synthetic sound, Cosmos70 creates a warm and emotive music, often inspiring melancholy and nostalgia. Their songs are weaving melodies or speeches accompanied by atmospheric sounds and tense vibes to capture a specific moment or mood.

Enjoy the Holy Wheel EP, which includes a new piece from A Poet with Nothing to Say and two unreleased tracks.
